Super Stores Closing - Good or Bad?

This month we saw Circuit City close its doors for good. One of their stores was right across the street from us. In fact, that was one of the primary reasons we chose this location for our store 8 years ago - Circuit City and CompUSA were right across the street from us. We enjoyed a symbiotic relationship with those stores because we didn't actually compete with them. CompUSA was the first casualty of the economic downturn. Since they've closed we've seen PC Club, another corporate franchise, close all of their stores, one of which was right around the corner from us. The economy is really hurting the big corporate giants. However, while they have been closing we have managed to expand our store, moving into the suite next door to us and knocking out the wall that separated the 2 suites, effectively doubling our retail space.
Now, my question to you, the readers of this blog, is: Do you find the closing of the Corporate Giants like Circuit City and CompUSA a good thing or a bad thing? I look forward to reading your responses.

Breast Cancer Research

Hallmark 'the cable place' is a woman-owned business, and as such we are deeply concerned with finding a cure for breast cancer. To this end, we have started carrying a line of pink ethenet, USB, and 3.5mm Speaker cables. 10% of the purchase price of these pink cables will be donated to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure in Albuquerque. Help us help them find a cure.
